The community around Holla Metall at Kyrksæterøra depends very much on FESIL's operations. 140 persons are directly employed by the plant. The municipality has about 4500 inhabitants. A social audit for Holla Metall shows that over 300 many years are employed in Norway in connection with supplies to the plant. In addition there is the local activity created by the employees' consumption, combined with the municipal tax that is paid. All-in-all, Holla Metall and its employees pay taxes corresponding to 1600 kindergarten places.

For FESIL, Holla Metall is a cornerstone plant with a stable, competent workforce combined with modern equipment and technology. Four furnaces at Holla produce high quality SiMetal. Holla has developed its own process for granulating SiMetal. No one else has this process.
